Polo

Polo shirts combine comfort and convenience of wearing with a touch of elegance in the form of a collar. How were they created?
The expression "necessity is the mother of invention" applies perfectly to this story. French tennis player Jean René Lacoste decided to design an alternative to uncomfortable starched tennis shirts and in 1926, appeared at the US Open Championship in a cotton polo shirt. It was a real revolution in the players' dress code. Shirts also began to be worn during games of polo (hence their name) and golf. Nowadays polo appears not only on the courts, but also in informal everyday outfits.
